Constructing Shapes.

Reflection

We were learning to construct shapes.I think the trickiest shape  to make was the five-sided shape with one right angle and one pair of parallel sides. The easiest shape to make was the four-sided shape with two pairs of parallel sides, four equal sides and no right angles. I think we did really good on this task.

Sir Peter Blake Leadership Talk

Reflection

On Tuesday this week Grier from the Sir Peter Blake Trust came in to talk to year 6 students about Sir Peter Blake and some of the things he did when he was alive, like wining the race  around the world and how he died.  We got given a card that asked  "What is your dream and what is your dream for New Zealand?"   My dream is that I work in a zoo and have a lovely husband and two kids so if I had one he or she didn't get lonely.  My dream for New Zealand is to stop animal cruelty.

I have not improved on my basic facts because of the holidays. I think I need to work on my dividing bys my goal is to get 50% by the end of term 2. I will do this by practising at home.

I found this activity difficult because it was hard to remember what was in the movie and the book. When my teacher prompted me I was able to work out some ideas. There is differences between books and films because some things are easier to be seen than written and the other way round.
